Walker Warner offers Architecture Internships on a rolling basis, in person based out of the San Francisco, CA office.
Internships are ideally three (3) to six (6) months in length and no shorter than 10 weeks in duration, full time (40 hours per week).
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Teams to create meaningful architectural works and gain knowledge of design, documentation and presentation best practices
- Attend and actively participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, site visits and regular office events
- Perform specific and limited portions of architectural assignments under direct supervision
- Document changes to architectural drawings as instructed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Architecture with a minimum of 3 years of education
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong experience in 3-D drafting/modeling and producing imagery; software experience in Archicad & Twinmotion preferred but not required
- Creativity - has a passion for and is skilled in design
- Design language - ability to understand and translate design goals in alignment with firm goals
- Detail oriented - precise, thorough, checks work and completes tasks accurately and on time
- Proactive, curious and driven - seeks out information, asks questions, drives learning process
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Comfortable working individually and as part of a team
Compensation and Benefits
The hiring base annual salary range or hourly rate for this position will be shared when actively recruiting for this role, as required by law. Any offer of compensation will be determined by a candidate’s education, skills, and experience as assessed during the interview process.
